New York Excelsior to win Overwatch League Season 2
Odds: 3.5

Overwatch League has managed to consolidate itself as the great esports competition between clubs linked to cities – exactly how Blizzard wanted it to be. Imitating the model of the American major leagues, more and more cities bet they are engaged with a franchise to represent their colors. On February 15 starts the second season, more populated, longer and with much more money at stake in both the American & Pacific Division OWL seasons. The only thing that has not really been achieved is the real geographic consolidation because again, it will be almost all concentrated in Los Angeles, United States.
The most important data is the entry of eight new teams, most of them based in China or North America, and only one more in Europe, Paris Eternal. This has led the organization to divide the competition into two divisions, Atlantic and Pacific, which will have some relevance in the calendar but not in the rankings. Overwatch League betting will be more popular than ever in 2019, so be sure to stay tuned to Gamopo for the latest odds, match predictions, and picks.
Despite the increasing number of teams, and therefore the number of games to be played in total, Blizzard has decided to reduce the number of meetings to be played by each club from 40 (last season) to 28. It has decided to repeat with the format that they established last year. The season is divided into four phases, each of which is composed of five days in which matches are played on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Though it will not be entirely regular nor all the teams will play in a synchronized manner. The increase in teams will offer plenty of opportunities to place bets on Overwatch League matches.
The great novelty that comes with the second season of Overwatch League is the finals. Phases 1, 2 and 3 conclude with a duel to which the two division leaders are classified as heads of series and the next six best teams in both the divisions.
You can see that the competition is growing and not only in of total teams but also the prize pool. This year, Blizzard will distribute 5 million dollars in prizes, one and a half million more than in the inaugural season. Increases in prize money is a direct result of more viewers and a growing popularity amongst esports enthusiasts. Try your hand at betting on Overwatch League matches in 2019 to offer some extra excitement to your viewing experience.
The distribution is as follows:
Overwatch League returns to television after the big audience data that harvested the final phases of the inaugural season. We speak of the United States, of course, since the rights in traditional format are held by the ESPN, Disney XD and ABC channels. They will broadcast one meeting every day of the month of the regular phase.
For the rest of the world, the ways to follow the league live are again Twitch and MLG (platform owned by Activision-Blizzard). The other way to follow the Overwatch League on video is through the official website.

Let’s have a look at some of the teams that could make their mark in the Pacific region:
Sincerely? It seems that the San Francisco Shock was a team created for the second season. Not that the team was avoiding winning in the inaugural season, but their core talents and stars were able to show their worth from the middle of the year 2018.
Now the team is not only complete but has also acquired very strong reinforcements, such as the Rascal and Striker DPSs and the Viol2t . The damage-dealing department already had good names like babybay and Sinatraa, which, along with other players known as Super, Architect, and Moth, gives much more credibility to this year’s cast than to the previous team. If you are shocked by the results of this season, do not say later that we did not warn you.
After the fiasco of 2018, the Dallas Fuel needs to rebound. There were prominent chances of disbandment with their record of 40 losses and 0 wins, but it was tricky. Big names, dominant in the pre-OWL scenario, the synergy of a long time, everything to succeed. However, Wanting is not acquiring.
In the final stretch of the League, the team even got good results and woke up to life, but it was a bit late to regain what they had left behind.
A whole season, a lot of training, a lot of progress and the doubt: Will Overwatch Contenders teams live up to OWL teams? This will be decided at the end of 2019, but let’s see how we can answer this question right at this moment. Vancouver Titans, a team outside the Overwatch League and can be considered as a serious contender for the league and wreak havoc in the season. The team can win it all, since they might be a new name, but has recruited a phenomenal roster.
The monumental Runaway players, iconic Korean superstar, ed hands and signed their contracts with the aim to be the best. They have been predicted by many to be the winning team from the beginning.
A good majority has heard of the Tower of Babel, right? According to the tale, it was meant to be a gigantic tower to reach the heavens and was under the construction of the workers that had different native languages. At the end, there was so much miscommunication that it was completely abandoned, and this is the challenge that the cast of the Guangzhou Charge will face in the League.
Now some of you might argue that Fusion last season had players of various nationalities and they managed to make themselves understood, even reaching the finals! Yes, this is the point of hope that the Charge er needs to cling to. However, it is not that simple.
There are two English speakers – Kyb and nero DPSs, two Chinese – Eileen and OnlyWish – and the rest Korean. The decision to take fights, to advance or to retreat, will be decided by the Korean captain, Chara. This will be a huge problem since information needs to be communicated to everyone and owing to the language barrier it could cause catastrophe. Who learns what language? Will we see a new captain ever in the game? We will have to follow the games to find out!
Overwatch World Cup has always been an important showcase of talent. Predicting such a contest that would demonstrate such quality from a relatively discredited team, especially from the Dragon ‘s catastrophic performance in the early season, was temptingly difficult. The qualifiers were over, the playoffs were over and the Chinese talent was literally exposed to the world.
That’s where good names entered the League, including Yveltal – a great player, arguably one of the best players on Lucio and LateYoung highly skilled in dealing decent damage with D.Va. In addition, the Chengdu Hunters team decided to recruit a newcomer at OWL, Taiwan’s DPS veteran, BaconJack. The lineup looks good on paper, but now the big question is: Is it in Chengdu’s hands to give a strong hope to the Chinese nation in 2019 with a massively Chinese-made cast? We’ll see!
First of all, the of the world crowd is undeniable to the Shanghai team. The problems were known and endured for the entire season. Seeing the ion of Chinese, we do not doubt that chains of prayer could have been carried out asking for a miserable victory of the Dragons. Even if it did not come, the excitement with the team in 2019 is there, intact, and a strong 2019 season is a plausible reality, precisely because of the second essential aspect of the team for 2019: The cast totally renovated.
Therefore, there is a possibility of victory for Shanghai. Too much possibility, even. I would not be surprised by a playoff rating.
Hangzhou Spark consists of the mixture of the Korean and Chinese region along with strong back of the three brilliant coach staff. This year, the team will be playing their first season of the Overwatch League. The team owned by Bilibili is expected to do wonders in the tournament since the expectations are quite high from the newcomers.
Log Angeles Gladiators, a name that suggests that the team is composed of the native American squad. However, that is not the case since the roster has a majority of Korean players. The team owned by Stan and Josh Kroenke even hired ShibaInu as the new translator for the team.
Same is the case with Log Angeles Valiant. The team is representing the flags of the United States with different race and color. However, unlike Log Angeles Gladiators, the team had all native English speakers in the squad with only the exception of Kang-jae “envy” Lee. Last year, the organization decided to take a step further and welcomed five Korean players in the team.
Seoul Dynasty is a team owned by Kevin Chou who is the owner of Gen.G in League of Legends. With such a high level of success in League of Legends (well apparently), the CEO is aiming to do the same in Overwatch League as well. The main advantage of the squad will be strong communication while the rest of the teams struggle with the translator.
