The New Challengers Stage is set to start on February 13th. 16 teams will battle it out for their chance to advance through to The New Legends Stage. However, only 8 teams will be successful on their mission to advance here on IEM Katowice 2019.
We here at Gamopo tried our best to present you with the best IEM Katowice odds. Furthermore, down below you will be able to find our IEM Katowice 2019 betting tips and predictions.
TyLoo – Vitality 5l3653
Vitality is in great form at the moment. They are coming off from a WePlay!Lock and Load victory. Furthermore, Vitality did not drop a single map on this event, and they look really dominant. On the other hand, TyLoo is not playing so good as of late, and you can clearly see from their recent matches, that they are in a slump.
Form 73495d
As we mentioned above, Vitality is coming off from a good showing on their last event. They also have 5 straight victories to their name. French roster is looking like a real deal, and all of their star performers have been on point lately.
TyLoo is finding their rhythm and in my personal opinion, they are in a serious slump. They are also coming to IEM Katowice with a couple of roster changes. They have also barely played on LAN events in the last couple of months. Their last showing was on PLG Grand Slam 2018. We can not really tell if they are coming to this event prepared, or they just do not care about this Major.
Map pool 2d3k45
These two teams have very similar map pools. However, the only thing that is separating them is Nuke and Train. TyLoo does not play Nuke, and we will see it permabanned by Chinese roster. On the other hand, Vitality hates playing Train, and this will definitely be their permaban.
Given the fact that this is a best-of-1 match, we will see more bans from both teams. I can see TyLoo banning Dust 2, while Vitality could remove Over. Lastly, these two teams will definitely brawl on either Mirage or Cache.
Summary 614v12
Vitality is on another level at the moment. On the other hand, it seems like TyLoo did not prepare for this event at all, at least when it comes to competitive play. Furthermore, Vitality definitely has better individuals, and anyone on Vitality can win this match himself. This all leads to the conclusion that Vitality is a better team on all fronts. TyLoo cannot throw a curveball with map veto, and I can not rate them against Vitality.
Betting prediction: Vitality to win
Odds: 1.3
Bookmaker: Betway
Fnatic – ViCi 5ds6x
Both of these teams are coming off from two good tournaments. Fnatic played on the iBUYPOWER Masters 2019, where they did not look bad at all. On the other hand, ViCi had to do a lot in order to qualify for The New Challengers Stage of IEM Katowice 2019.
Form 73495d
As mentioned above, fnatic is coming off from iBUYPOWER Masters 2019. Overall they had a good showing there. When it comes to their form, Swedes have 3 victories in their last 5 matches.
On the other hand, ViCi also has 3 victories in their last 5 bouts. However, the competition these two teams played against cannot be compared. However, ViCi was able to beat the likes of North, but the fact is, North was in a horrible form back then, so these two victories do not carry any weight.
Map Pool 4y1d72
It is going to be really hard to determine the map these two teams are going to compete on. However, there are some factors that we can go over. Both fnatic and ViCi cannot play Nuke, and they avoid it all the time.
Furthermore, fnatic is comfortable on Mirage and Over. On the other hand, ViCi enjoys playing Mirage and Inferno. When it comes to their worst map, they share similar success. Dust 2 and Cache are not good maps for neither of these teams. However, I would give fnatic an edge on Train, since they have been rock solid on it, while ViCi struggled in the past.
Summary 614v12
Do not get me wrong, but ViCi is not a tier 1 team. On the other hand, fnatic is on top of the CSGO scene for the last 5 years. They have won several Majors, but they have been on a decline as of late. Swedish roster also has a couple of CSGO veterans in their squad, and that is definitely a big help for them, especially on such an important tournament.
When it comes to IEM Katowice 2019 betting, fnatic is considered as a huge favorite to win this match. I do not blame IEM Katowice 2019 bookmakers for this. Fnatic is on a level above ViCi, and they are going to prove that in this match.
Everything is pointing out towards fnatic. They have stronger individuals for sure. Needless to say that this is not their first Major rodeo. Swedes have been a part of almost every Major CSGO tournament so far. All in all, a better map pool, stronger individuals and a crazy amount of experience should definitely help fnatic stomp ViCI.
Betting prediction: round handicap, fnatic(-5.5)
Odds: 1.87

Underdog Betting Tips 1m2h5o
FURIA – NiP 5i172f
Do not be surprised if FURIA steals the show in this one. They have been playing constantly in the last month or so, and they did not look bad at all. On the other hand, NiP did not play a solid event for a while now, and I strongly believe that they will not be at their best on IEM Katowice 2019.
Betting prediction: FURIA to win
Odds: 2.64
Bookmaker: GG.bet
Winstrike – NRG 6w6343
Winstrike has been playing some good CSGO as of late. They have beaten a lot of top contenders and I really can not see a reason why they can not defeat NRG. However, this is more of a “feeling” pick, so do not bet too much on this. However, odds are too good to turn down.
Betting prediction: Winstrike to win
Odds: 3.55
Bookmaker: Betway
2019 CS:GO IEM Katowice Teams? 1z1g2b
We have already talked about certain stages of this event. However, there are some teams that earned their invites because of the Legendary status they earned on FACEIT London Major 2018. These are the teams that earned their invitation for IEM Katowice 2019:
SEE ALL 2p221t
Current Legends 274o5l
There are 8 teams participating at the Legends Stage. This stage features the top teams coming into the tournament. These teams do not have to compete at the qualifiers and they are automatically included in the group stage.
Astralis 562t6l
The Danish team comes into ESL Katowice as the number one ranked team in the world. They are also known as the champions of ESL Katowice 2017. They are also currently the top team from the EU region. They are coached by zonic and their players include device, dupreeh, gla1ve, Magisk, and Xyp9x.
Astralis is the best CSGO team in the world, and there is no denying it. Danes have been on a terror throughout the entire 2018, and they will most definitely look to add another Major trophy to their cabinet. Furthermore, in all of their matches, Astralis is going to be heavily favored by every bookmaker out there. So even though betting on Astralis to win a match will not earn you a lot of money, you will definitely be in a profit. To conclude, we here at Gamopo strongly believe that Astralis will have no competition on IEM Katowice 2019 and that they will want to make a statement that no one will dethrone them in 2019.
BIG b2mt
Team Big is the 11th ranked team in the world. The team from is coached by nex and their lineup is made up of gob b, tiziaN, XANTARES, smooya, and tabseN.
BIG is coming off from fresh changes. Everything started with nex being benched, mainly because he had to undergo serious surgery. BIG was looking for a replacement, and they found the perfect one in İsmailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş. XANTARES is most definitely the best Turkish player on the CSGO scene, and overall he is an excellent addition to BIG’s roster. Secondly, not even a week ago, Owen “smooya” Butterfielddecided to bench himself, because he did not want to play for BIG anymore. Some will say that he made a stupid choice since everyone dreams of playing on Major, especially in Katowice. This move brought Johannes “nex” Magetback to the active roster, as doctors decided that his condition can be treated with therapies and that he will not have to undergo surgery. Given that fact that BIG made some significant changes, I can not see them beating any top 10 teams at the moment.
FaZe 1g5mg
Team Faze, from Europe, is the 6th best team in the world. They are coached by YNk and the team is made up of GuardiaN, AdreN, NiKo, olofmiester, and rain.
FaZe, just like BIG, is coming off from fresh roster changes. They got rid of their former in-game leader Finn “karrigan” Andersen. However, they did not add another in-game leader to their squad, they decided to opt-in or another rifler, Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev. At the moment, this seems like a good move from FaZe as they were able to win ELEAGUE CS:GO Invitational 2019. However, it seems like Nikola “NiKo” Kovač is not enjoying in-game leading so much, as it definitely took a toll on his individual skill. It is hard to focus on two things at once, and NiKo is learning this the hard way. In summary, FaZe definitely has a chance to win IEM Katowice 2019. However, they have been doing a lot of stupid mistakes against top teams. If they are able to work on that, I can see them as serious contenders in this one.
HellRaisers 2k1t4h
Team Hellraisers are the 14th ranked team in the world. They are from the European region and they are coached by ami. Their lineup is made up of ANGE1, woxic, Hobbit, DeadFOx, and ISSAA.
HellRaisers is a very talented team. However, they are very inexperienced, especially their two-star players, Issa “ISSAA” Murad and Özgür “woxic” Eker. They have one of the best CIS based in-game leaders, Kirill “ANGE1” Karasiow. However, they added a Major winner to their roster, Hobbit, and it is going to be interesting to see how much will Abay “Hobbit” Khasenov influence this team on IEM Katowice 2019. These guys are a legit dark horse in this event, and you should not be surprised if they are able to win against some of the top contenders. Betting on HellRaisers could yield you a lot of profits, since bookmakers will definitely have high odds on them winning their matches, especially against better-ranked teams.
Team Liquid 1t5h6q
Team Liquid is the number two ranked esports association in the world. They are also currently the top team represent North American Regions at Major CS:GO events. They are coached by adreN and their team are EliGE, NAF, nitr0, Stewie2k, and Twistzz.
Liquid is coming off from a dominant win against Astralis on iBUYPOWER Masters IV. Their latest addition, Jacky “Stewie2K” Yip had a very good performance on his LAN debut with Liquid. Who knows, maybe he is the missing piece Liquid was looking for. It is going to be interesting to see if Liquid will be able to best Astralis one more time, and I am expecting them to come guns blazing here on IEM Katowice 2019. They have very strong individuals who thrive once they have their backs against the wall. Overall, Liquid is definitely the second favorite to win IEM Katowice 2019, and just like Astralis, betting on them would not earn you a lot of profits.
MIBR 4n5w2a
The MiBR team from Brazil is the top team to come from the South American Region. The team is made up of coldzera, FalleN, fer, TACO, and felps. They are coached by zews. They are currently the ranked as the third best team in the world.
MIBR finally decided to switch back to full Brazilian roster. They brought Epitácio “TACO” de Melo back from Liquid and they have also re-signed João “felps” Vasconcellos. They have also decided to bring back their old coach, Wilton “zews” Prado. In my personal opinion, MIBR has a very strong roster. Furthermore, this roster played together on SK, and they will not need any adapting period. Given the fact that they reverted back to the roster where they had a lot success, I could see them pulling off an upset here in Katowice. To conclude, betting on MIBR could prove to be a jackpot for you, simply because these guys can play on a level above everyone else.
Natus Vincere 1b6j3z
Team Navi, the top team from the CIS region, is also the fourth ranked team in the world. They are coached by kane and their lineup is made up of Edward, electronic, flamie, s1mple, and Zeus
Natus Vincere is hanging on a thread. They had a very poor finish in 2018. Furthermore, their in-game leader, Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko, announced that he wants to retire by the end of 2019. This is going to be a do or die moment for Natus Vincere. If they are not able to get a good result on IEM Katowice 2019, I could see Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev leave Natus Vincere for a better team. When it comes to betting, you can never know what to expect from Natus Vincere. S1mple can win the game himself, or he can just blend in with other underperforming veterans. If an entire team steps up individually, Natus Vincere would be a real contender, but I do not think veterans such as Ioann “Edward” Sukhariev and Zeus have what it takes to win individual duels against top-rated opposition.
compLexity 6u166t
Complexity Gaming is the 18th best team in the world. They are from North America and they are coached by Warden. Their lineup is made up of dephh, n0thing, Rickeh, ShahZaM, and stanislaw.
compLexity is coming off from some serious changes. They got rid of their coach and their best player in the likes of Bradley “ANDROID” Fodor. However, they added a very experienced player to their squad, Jordan “n0thing” Gilbert. To be honest, they proved that they can not do much against top 10 teams on the ELEAGUE CS:GO Invitational 2019. They struggled in every single match they played, and they were not able to play the way they wanted. I think they are severely lacking individual firepower, and there is no way they can improve in such a short time. In my personal opinion, compLexity got really lucky that they were able to place in the top 8 on the last Major. There is no way that they would be able to qualify through the Americas Minor.
